I'm Tanika Hall, a mom of two daughters and an aunt to a lot of nieces and nephews. I've taken kids across borders as a mom and as an aunt.
On one trip my daughter and I had a long layover in Munich on our way to Egypt. To leave the airport we had to go through German immigration, and the officer asked for the consent letter right away. I had it, so we spent the day riding a hop on hop off bus around Munich instead of sitting at the gate. That letter is the reason this site exists.
I'm not a lawyer. Rules change and the border officer has the final say, so every guide here is checked against the destination government's own site and dated.
